KacieLilley, ASID
While attending Arizona State University, Kacie acquired a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Interior Design-from the University’s School of Architecture and Environmental Design. Kacie has been formally educated and trained in an industry she truly loves. With her comprehensive educational background and overall perspective on design, she has the ability to produce timeless designs, effectively converse with others, possesses an inherent skill to stay organized throughout every facet of a project, and demonstrates an attention to detail that is admired and respected by clients, peers and fellow professionals in the industry. With nearly 15 years of experience at a highly-established design firm in Arizona, Kacie was determined to fulfill her design passion and with her business partner Stacy, start up their very own design firm, K & Q Interiors back in 2015. To further her knowledge in the industry, she has obtained her NCIDQ Certification, and is an active member of ASID- Arizona North Chapter. With her background in design, Kacie has a sophisticated eye for Interior Design, impeccable AutoCAD drafting and technical skills, and has an outstanding ability to understand the client’s needs and expectations. She has a strong understanding of how interiors come together, from the architecture of a space to the furniture and soft furnishings that fill it. The color palette, design style and the material selections are all equally important - each element is essential to producing a cohesive look within the space.
StacyScharf, ASID
Graduating from Arizona State University in 1993, with a degree in Business Management, was just the starting point to Stacy’s journey. In 1997, she obtained her Interior Design degree From SCC, allowing her to finally pursue her dream. School was just the beginning for Stacy, as she worked for a large residential design firm for 18 years, building her portfolio and achieving numerous awards in the industry. During this time she furthered her education and knowledge by completing the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications, NCIDQ Test in 2006. Stacy then was able to fulfill her own design passion, with her business partner, by opening their very own design firm which has quickly become well known in the industry for providing the best designs with amazing customer service and support. Their company has won numerous awards and recognition in the industry as well.
Her design experience ranges from Residential, Commercial to Hospitality design, with her main focus on Residential design. Stacy takes pride in the fact that she really listen to her Clients and understand what they are looking for and creates a creative solution for them and not one that doesn’t fit their lifestyle or personality. Always remaining an optimistic and having an energetic personality through every aspect of a project, equals a successful job.
teresa Karagas
A transplant from Salt Lake City, Utah, Teresa brought her 16+ years of interior design and home furnishings expertise to Scottsdale in 2014. She then added an Associates of Arts in Interior Design, to her previous degree, an Associates of Arts in Humanities, graduating with honors from the reputable Scottsdale Community College Interior Design program. She was discovered by K & Q Interiors through a glowing referral from the school's Interior Design Department head, and after a successful internship, started working full-time with K & Q. Her education, coupled with her diverse experience, give her the ability to work with, mix, and adopt a wide variety of styles, while her quick wit and humor keep her projects light and fun.
MarlisKapellusch
After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Arizona State University in 2002, Marlis built an impressive portfolio at leading design firms in the valley. She continued her education by passing the exam administered by National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), an organization dedicated to establishing global standards of competence for health, safety and welfare in the interior design profession. Her stunning designs are publicly recognized as shown 9 times by publications such as The Arizona Republic, The Business Journal, Scottsdale Magazine, and Arizona Foothills Magazine to name a few. While creativity and visualization are critical skills to any designer, Marlis sets herself apart from her peers by balancing her artistic talents with practical traits. She believes providing qualities such as accuracy, practicality, and efficiency is the only way to truly exceed expectations by managing budget and timing constraints so her customers do not have to. The rapport she develops with her clients by listening to their needs and desires are crucial to producing her breathtaking designs.
